What Guests Are Saying
Sunset Campground is praised for its beautiful sunset views, clean facilities, and convenient location near major attractions in Sequoia and Kings Canyon. Many visitors enjoyed the serene atmosphere, ample hiking opportunities, and friendly staff. However, some noted issues with noise from neighboring sites and varying site sizes, which could impact the camping experience. Overall, it's a lovely spot that many would return to despite a few drawbacks.

The overall site was good. There was limited shade at #37 during morning hours but very little shade in afternoons. I recommend a pop up awning or beach umbrella to shade bear box and area to kick back/relax. Great campsite to watch amazing sunsets but lots of people swam site area to do the same. Some people hang around the 2 closed sites next to #37 into late hours sometimes lacking campground etiquette. Even still I enjoyed the campsite and sunsets.
Keep in mind the site details state, only for small tent, very accurate.

It was clean, quiet, and the weather was still great in the middle of July!

This is an exceptional site. There is plenty of space between the next two sites and the back half opens up to an amazing view. Water is straight across from the parking spot. Plenty of morning and evening shade. Not much mid day protection though.

We love SeKi and have had great experiences every time. This was our first stay at Sunset Campground. We camped at Dorst Creek prior to that and would say Sunset is our first choice from now on. We loved the views, the shade at our campsites and the cleanliness of the restrooms (we camped during Covid-19). You would not be disappointed. Campsites 22,128,130 are sites I recommend with good shade and ample space for your kiddos to run around.
