Sunset campground is centrally located in Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks in central California's rugged Sierra Nevada range. This campground is at an elevation of 6,500 feet. A number of hiking trails begin within walking distance of the campground including the one mile trail to the General Grant Tree.

It was a great camp site. It is clean and safe. I like it because you can easily walk to the Grant Grove market. A two mile hike to the Grant Tree. A 30 minute drive to Sentinel Campground which you can swim in the river. On the way, you can also visit Hume lake. Overall, I love it and plan to go back in the Spring.

Your website is terrible. You’re asking me for a review on a stay that was canceled due to a major fire.
When I made my reservations I only received one day when I put in for two. I had to make two other reservations to get the second day. When I tried to cancel, there was no option.
I hope all my reservations were refunded due to the fires.
You also need to have a real person to talk to, to straighten out the errors in your reservation program.

Ranger was just opening the campground back up, closed for wildfire smoke. He was very attentive. Campground was beautiful, hiking to Sherman tree was great.
