What Guests Are Saying
Boca Campground offers stunning views, spacious sites, and a peaceful atmosphere, making it a great choice for camping. Many visitors appreciate the cleanliness, beautiful scenery, and the helpful camp host. However, some challenges include a lack of water access, steep paths to the lake, and occasional noise from nearby campers. Overall, it remains a favored location for its scenic beauty and convenient proximity to Reno.

Beautiful, quiet campground. Each site has its own trail leading down to the water of the reservoir, which gave some more private access to swimming. Definitely a serene option relative to the more crowded Tahoe locations.

#17 is HOT, no shade. The path to the water is mean, steep ,soft dirt with rocks that slide, hiking boots not flip flops. #16, 17, 18 share the water, "beach" is small, water was refreshing Boca water. Dog friendly! 17 and 18 are not spaced as the map shows, they are exactlytogether, draw a line in the dirt and claim your side. The host was very nice and the bathrooms had toilet paper. I would not camp on 17 again. We moved to 19 and that was much more enjoyable with lots of shade and easier trail to water.

Sites not very level & site 13 should only be a tent site. Not big enough for even a small RV.

There was an incident where people did not want to share the only cove my family and I had access to. Drove there boat into the cove where my children where swimming and eventually when the Rangers got involved and asked them to make room they did not. Entitled persons calling me a Karen cause i got others 'authorities' invloved. I left the grounds a night early, it was an awful experience the Host was VERY VERY nice and apologized for the other campers behavior.

Donβt get me wrong the area was beautiful however the rangers donβt do there job we left two days early bec they couldnβt get the fireworks under control and my other half is a veteran he had a panic attack so bad I thought I was going to lose him when we brought it to the rangers attention all she did was shrug it off like itβs was no big dealβ¦ sorry I donβt think we will ever return to that camp again thatβs was just not ok

We reserved spot #18 and it was beautiful. a nice table and fire pit with lots of shade, and I love the addition of the bear boxes. The view from the site overlooks the lake, which is more full than I have seen it in years. There is also a nice trail from the site that leads right down to a nice little beach. It is a little far from the bathroom which might be hard for those who don't like to walk a lot.
I will say the host was a little rude. When she approached us the first thing she said was we had to pay for the extra car. We explained that we were not staying the night and were just staying for dinner and to make s'mores. She said that didn't matter and made us pay an additional $5, even though online it states you only have to pay for extra cars over night. She seemed like she has been drinking so I just gave her the money so she would leave. Other than that it was a great visit!
