What Guests Are Saying
Boca Campground offers stunning views, spacious sites, and a peaceful atmosphere, making it a great choice for camping. Many visitors appreciate the cleanliness, beautiful scenery, and the helpful camp host. However, some challenges include a lack of water access, steep paths to the lake, and occasional noise from nearby campers. Overall, it remains a favored location for its scenic beauty and convenient proximity to Reno.

Enjoyed the walking trails, neighbors partied until 2 am. Bad idea staying across from the bathrooms it was really stinky by Sunday. Otherwise beautiful view of the reservoir

Beautiful place, and we had great campsites right by the water. Rangers did there job but weren't overwhelming. I will definately go back.

It was great to relax here by the lake. Mostly quiet on the lake. The fires in the area during this time was slightly unpleasant. The lake level was pretty low but it was mentioned on the website.

So ridiculous how many “rules” are out here. We knew we weren’t allowed to ride OHVs within the campground, but forest service will not allow vehicles to even be removed from toy haulers. Our friends in the site next to us could not even use their trailer because they couldn’t unload their RZR. Campground is dusty. We left the day of our reservation and will not be back.

The host and the views were amazing. We had to go thru the back ways (Prosser Dam) due to the dam being built but it was a nice scenic route/detour. It does get bit dusty and the inconvenience of not having water at the campground was a bummer but the Boca lake was lose enough to go dive in during the day

We've camped at Boca several times. This year, the forest ranger is constantly visiting and giving campers a hard time. Inspecting camps while we are out sitting around. With everything going on this year, we are trying to get away and he came everyday we were there and bothered us. We spoke to other campers who were also hassled. We are cancelling the rest of our reservations for the year and going elsewhere. Between the bathrooms being dirty and being hassled, we were very disappointed.

Boca is a beautiful place to go to for a nice get away from the city.

Great campgrounds and really pretty! Quiet over all. My biggest complaint was with the National forest service. They came by multiple times telling us our fire wasn’t sufficiently out even when we had poured water on it. They stated it was still hot. The temp outside was close to 90*F so I feel like the metal was just hot from the sun. Over all I would go back but sort of discouraged due to the harassment we felt even when we were being cautious with the fire/fire pit.
