this is a great campground, no hook ups, no fancy bathroom, the most beautiful surroundings and very peaceful.

This place is really better for trailer/RV camping due to lack of shade. The sites at the north end of camp have little to no shade. Spots 1-7 all have good shade as well as 13-16 but those are near entrance and get more traffic. Many 4 wheelers, side by sides, motorcycles etc. at camp. Not that they were tearing up the campground or anything. They ride nearby moto trails. I think we were 1 of maybe only 3 total tent campers on the weekend. Our spot at 3 was nicely shaded but no real level space for a tent. We managed fine with a large 4 person tent but our 6 year old daughter kept sliding down to the bottom. My wife and I didn't slide as much and neither did our 10 year old since we're a bit heavier. Oh, and NO WATER at the campground. Didn't know that prior to camping but apparently it's been off since Covid for some reason. Campground was dog friendly. Ranger comes by few times a day and will ask you to put dog on leash but we managed to have him off for a good bit and no trouble. You can have dogs off leash if you're near the lake too as there is plenty of room to spread out.
Lake level was low so you have a bit of a walk over to the water from the campground and the land near the water is sloping so you need to manage that. No shade anywhere near the water so take an E-Z-Up down there. Lake floor is muddy on campground side but less so on opposite side. Water is warm and not very deep and also not very clear. Lots of SUPs in the water as well as kayakers.
Would recommend getting up early for a peak at the sunrise right across the lake. Some fog rising from the lake with the morning sun shining was pretty epic. Also catch the hot air balloons coming up in the still morning air. Campsites 1-7 are well shaded in the afternoons and sitting at camp with a view of the lake from around 5-8pm was very nice and relaxing. Oh, and NO BUGS! We had just camped of Hwy 20 week prior and had mosquitos and yellow jackets galore. None here at all. Not a bit on us. Nice!

Had a great time. Very nice and friendly camp hosts. Clean bathrooms. There was no water available at the campground, that was a little bit of a problem, but we got it figured out.

Right off of the water. You can store your boats just below your campsite. No shade but it wasn't really necessary at the time.

We loved the lake. Sites are roomy, though site 29 is not the best. We were close to the lake and my son had the best time. We will definitely rerun to this campground.

Camp was decent, map of campground is a little misleading.
