Beautiful campsite and a friendly camp host. Campground was clean and well maintained. Easy access to Truckee and Lake Tahoe, but felt secluded. Lassan Volcanic National Park is not far away. We would definitely stay there again.

No water, no electricity. Just basic camping with a great campground host this summer.

Our host Richard was a awesome host. He checked on us daily and even as he drove by he would constantly ask if we needed anything. As he leaves he would always say, “ have a great experience y’all”

Well-spaced campsites, not too far from nearby towns but deep enough in the woods where you don't hear any cars. Each site has a picnic table, grill, and bear locker. Quiet and family-friendly. 10-15-minute hike south or east down to the reservoir. Didn't see anyone swimming but water was warm for wading. Beach is fairly sloped downward and a tad gravelly but not bad for a book and a picnic. Pit toilets were fine. No hand sanitizer. Potable water taps were closed.
