The woman who hosts the campsite keeps everything the place and bathroom clean, very efficient and friendly. The place is very quiet besides the cars that pass on the road, but it was not a problem, also very safe, I left my things with the trust that everything was going to be there and nothing got lost. The only bad thing but without taking away the pleasantness of the place is that there were ants and a lot of dirt there and not enough grass like other places I have been, but even so I would return to this place again for its calm and safety that I felt it

Site 20, a quick walk downhill from the parking space to a large and spacious campsite perfect for the well equipped tent camper with a truck. Yes, Hwy 89 is busy and noisy during the day, but it does quiet at night. Campsite is halfway between the highway the Truckee River, backs up to the private road for a property across the river. Camp host is diligent, friendly and the vault toilets and campground were always clean and well-kept.

Quite the rustic campground in a beautiful setting along Hwy 89. Just a couple of miles north of the Olympic Valley and less than 10 miles to Tahoe City and all the Truckee River activities along the way. The camp host and park rangers were so friendly and helpful.

Beautiful spot close very convenient and close to our destination of Squaw Valley. Road is close so there is road noise but that’s obvious from the location. Roads in the park are tight so have to take your time getting to your spot but all in all we loved it.

Could have had a little more shade, but close enough to Tahoe to go out to dinner

Although this is in a beautiful location, this campground is not designed for vehicles pulling trailers. Road is narrow and Loop A and B are practically impossible to maneuver.

It is close to 89, but the traffic noise isn’t terrible. I mean it’s car camping, not backcountry. Its a great spot to chill for the weekend and close to a lot of trails 🤙🏼
