The sites were great (04 and 05). We stayed a week and had a blast. The location is great, very close to Squaw and Tahoe City. It felt like we were the only ones in the campground. The hosts were wonderful. A few downfalls included the river being down a steep hill and through some bushes (not ideal for floats). The river proximity is a bit deceiving on the map. The outhouse facilities were quite atrocious too. The hosts did a good job cleaning every day, but there were times the smell was just unbearable. It was time to get those things emptied and somehow more sanitary smelling.

Host was friendly and helpful. The bathrooms were the cleanest bathrooms I’ve ever experienced while camping, not a bug in sight. Our site was spacious, level and private. We loved the easy access to Tahoe City and Truckee. We love it!

The camp Hosts were so welcoming, helpful and attentive to all details concerning this campground! They are the best we have seen in all of our years of camping.
What shocked us was that the Nat'l Forest Service allowed wood campfires...even when your signs prior to the campground arrival stated the fire danger was HIGH! With the drought conditions in the state of CA and the sad shape the trees are in, we were nothing less than totally shocked at your careless behavior.
Thankfully, the camp Hosts drove around continually all night handing out bottles and buckets of water telling everyone to drown their campfires when they were done. My husband further observed the Hosts checking the campfires throughout the campground when most had gone to bed. I slept comfortably knowing the camp Hosts were diligent about the fires. I am saddened to see the National Forest Service being so lax concerning the fire danger in Tahoe.

This is a great campsite and we have stayed here many times over the years. We were surprised to see they had taken out the water source for the campground. We couldn't find any potable water source on the property.

Roads into the campground are rather narrow. Maneuvering our camper was a real challenge. Signs directing which roads lead to what sites are non-existent.

Nice place to camp with plenty of room between sites. They tell you about highway noise and that is true. Lots of stars at night. They need larger signs at the water spigot (right next to a bathroom) about not washing dishes and body parts. Our dog enjoyed the site (5).

Nice place and awesome location. The only downside is the noise from the road. But you get used to it. I would definitely recommend it.
