Cons:
One of the smaller spaces due to plants and dead trees.
Across from the trash bins.
Off the main entrance road.
Mixed shade due to younger trees.
Pros:
It’s lower pines!
Clean bathrooms.

Lower Pines campground was a great campground overall. It was small and bathrooms were clean. It was a short walk to the showers at Curry village and the dump station at Upper Pines was right across the road. The sites were very close together, which we didn't love, and site 47 seemed to be the worst in the campground. It was right in the middle of the campground with no shade whatsoever. In the future, we would return to Lower Pines, but camp at a different site that has shade.

Rangers were very helpful throughout our stay. Site could use a bit more shade but see some young trees have been planted. Verizon cell signal was low to none at times.

This review is strictly for this campsite. It was reopened after being closed for flooding. We grabbed it right away and it ended up raining again the weekend we were there and the entire site was flooded and we could not stay on it for the remainder of our trip.

Very nice spot right across from the restrooms, great views, quiet. Unfortunately it did rain and snow and when that happened this was one of the campsites that flooded and we had to leave for the night and come back the next day. The rangers patrolled regularly and will walk up to your site if you are not following rules so just mind the rules of the campground including any campfire rules AND the amount of people you have rules. When they say 6 people per site they mean it.

Tremendous experience. Having Glacier Point and Half Dome looking over you when you get up in the morning was an unforgettable thing. Don the check in guy was very friendly and helpful. We will be back.
