About North Pines Campground

For the 2026 season, North Pines campground will utilize a one-time Early Access Lottery which allows successful applicants to make a reservation within the entire 2026 season. Additional information may be found on Yosemite’s website.  Any remaining availability will be released during normal on-sale dates beginning with the February 15 on-sale.When not on a lottery, campsites at North Pines are available up to five months in advance on the 15th of each month at 7:00 a.m. (PT). For example, on February 15, arrival dates for the time period June 15 to July 14 become available to reserve, and therefore, the full arrival date window would be from season opening to July 14. North Pines Campground is located in breathtaking Yosemite National Park in Central California's rugged Sierra Nevada Mountain Range at an elevation of 4000 feet. The site is situated in the heart of Yosemite Valley, an awe-inspiring landscape containing many of the famous features for which Yosemite National Park is known. Within Yosemite, visitors can gaze upon waterfalls, sheer granite cliffs, deep valleys, grand meadows, ancient giant sequoias, vast wilderness areas and so much more.Reservation tips! Campsites in Yosemite are extremely popular and typically sell out in minutes on the regular on-sale dates. Login to your account or create a new account before the 7:00 a.m. (PST) release time. You may only add reservations to your cart and proceed with your reservation if you are logged into your account. This site was spacious for my family of 5. If you take a short walk towards the Merced River, you will have excellent views of Upper Yosemite Falls.

Downside(s): the proximity to the restrooms for kids is a little far. There were flash flood warnings and hail storms during our time here so we didn’t get to maximize our time/dates here like we planned.

I was awoken at 6:30 am by 2 young campers who were moving into my camp. They claimed to be the ones who reserved the site that evening and came early. It was an awkward situation. They had all their gear and were on bikes so I let them move in and I loaded up and moved my car to a parking spot near curry.

Late check in system made it easy to arrive late and still let the campground host know that we had arrived. Great campsite and facilities overall. Plenty of shade throughout and very close to the river.

Site 511 was great. We were able to fit a 6 and 8 person tent for the 5 of us. Being in the last loop of the campground, there was very little traffic. Also a short walk to some nice swimming spots. I would stay here again.

We had a great time. Everything is close by I recommend you bike for the day and Ride around.
Check out the pizza place and the bar all the staff was very friendly

If arriving one or more days late, call (209) 372-8502; your reservation will be cancelled if we do not hear from you within 24 hours of your arrival date.

You must check-in at the campground kiosk upon arrival. After-hours arrivals must sign-in and return to the kiosk to complete check-in the following morning or your reservation may be cancelled.

Bears and other wildlife live here! Food and toiletries must be properly stored 24 hours/day.Food storage lockers are provided in all campsites and measure 43 inches wide, 28 inches high and 35 inches deep.Absolutely no food stored in vehicles.Dispose of garbage immediately in bear-proof dumpsters.

There are no electric, water or sewer hook-ups available at individual campsites, although a free dump station and drinking water are located nearby at Upper Pines.
