We love North Pines, love Yosemite. Unfortunately getting reservations is almost impossible. We met campers who use boys to secure their campsites. Really disheartening.

This was a great campsite! Double wide parking spot could easily fit 2 vehicles or a large RV. Shaded and close walk to bathrooms and river. Pesky squirrels have to be chased away. Loved this space! Camp hosts Tim and Judy were lovely.

Amazing site! The river is right across the street and the restrooms are on the back of the site a few meters away. I would strongly recommend this site!

We love Yosemite and have stayed in North Pines several times over the years. Well, the years we are able to get a site because it's just so popular. The roads are tight and its not ideal for motorhomes. This year we had a particularly notable trip thanks to camp host David Coe. Normally all the hosts are helpful but David just seemed to go above and beyond. After telling him about our hiking plans he came to our camp site to give us some critical information about the status of the hiking trails as a portion of the John Muir trail was closed for repairs and we didn't know that before we arrived. Then on our last night he graciously helped me get firewood and even chopped some of it for us. Thank you David!

Great spot in the center of the campground. It isn’t on the water which was perfect for our group with kids.

Need wider parking spots so two vehicles can park side by side.

Beautiful location! Any campsite at Yosemite is great IMHO. Great view of Half dome.
Almost level park spot and room for a small4-6 person tent. Fire pit.
Other campers respectful of quiet time when we were there.
Friendly and hard working volunteer camp host, check in person and rangers and other staff.
Definitely suggest bringing a “bathroom kit”- (there’s no soap or instant hand cleaner provided, or paper towels, or toilet seat covers) I bring a natural version of “Lysol “ type disinfectant wipes to wipe out sink-lots of campers using 2 sinks- ugh! definitely want to clean before using and after myself, my own small trash bag w/, loop to hang ,soap , etc)
Sure wish reservation system could figure out how multiple days could stay in one spot. Waiting until noon to move is a hassle. Parking very limited and FULL early in busy season. Plan on using bikes or bus to get around.
Tip: Join Yosemite Conservancy for savings at many of the stores, the Ansel Adams Gallery and much more.
