About North Pines Campground

For the 2026 season, North Pines campground will utilize a one-time Early Access Lottery which allows successful applicants to make a reservation within the entire 2026 season. Additional information may be found on Yosemite’s website.  Any remaining availability will be released during normal on-sale dates beginning with the February 15 on-sale.When not on a lottery, campsites at North Pines are available up to five months in advance on the 15th of each month at 7:00 a.m. (PT). For example, on February 15, arrival dates for the time period June 15 to July 14 become available to reserve, and therefore, the full arrival date window would be from season opening to July 14. North Pines Campground is located in breathtaking Yosemite National Park in Central California's rugged Sierra Nevada Mountain Range at an elevation of 4000 feet. The site is situated in the heart of Yosemite Valley, an awe-inspiring landscape containing many of the famous features for which Yosemite National Park is known. Within Yosemite, visitors can gaze upon waterfalls, sheer granite cliffs, deep valleys, grand meadows, ancient giant sequoias, vast wilderness areas and so much more.Reservation tips! Campsites in Yosemite are extremely popular and typically sell out in minutes on the regular on-sale dates. Login to your account or create a new account before the 7:00 a.m. (PST) release time. You may only add reservations to your cart and proceed with your reservation if you are logged into your account. Site 109, 22' trailer. Perfect campsite! Gorgeous spot on the river. Even though there was construction at the shuttle stop nearby, it was an easy walk to Curry Village to pick up the shuttle there. We recommend the valley floor tram tour; Ranger Karla was great! All the rangers we had interactions with were so helpful and attentive! They gave great recommendations and thorough directions to the sites we wanted to see. We also recommend the breakfast buffet at the Ahwahnee! It was a treat!

Volunteer staff was a joy to interact with and very responsive to comments / observations we made. The NP Campground was everything we have come to expect from NP campgrounds BUT this time it was sooooo much more (probably because of what the Yosemite park has to offer in the way of magnificent scenery & experiences). Recommendation is to not let the desire & excitement of planning, obtaining and actually being in a Yosemite NP campground cause you to forget miss sitting in a chair and looking around … especially UP!

Great camping experience for our group of 5 at North Pines. plenty of room for tents and gear and room in bear box food storage. Campgrounds were well kept and generally quiet when they should be. We love Springtime in Yosemite and couldn't have planned a better stay or site to visit.

If arriving one or more days late, call (209) 372-8502; your reservation will be cancelled if we do not hear from you within 24 hours of your arrival date.

You must check-in at the campground kiosk upon arrival. After-hours arrivals must sign-in and return to the kiosk to complete check-in the following morning or your reservation may be cancelled.

Bears and other wildlife live here! Food and toiletries must be properly stored 24 hours/day.Food storage lockers are provided in all campsites and measure 43 inches wide, 28 inches high and 35 inches deep.Absolutely no food stored in vehicles.Dispose of garbage immediately in bear-proof dumpsters.

There are no electric, water or sewer hook-ups available at individual campsites, although a free dump station and drinking water are located nearby at Upper Pines.
