Camp hosts are very personable, kind and helpful. Womenβs bathroom was squeaky clean and warm. I heard menβs bathroom was, well, disrespected by the users. Camp site was large with zero litter. Bear box is huge. Park shuttles nearby so you can leave your car here. Showers at Curry Village surpassed expectations. Grab some firewood at the bottom of hill. Curry store charged me $17 for a box.

All the valley campgrounds, it seems, are basically in the same place. It was mid-week, mid-September, but everything was still full, and crowded over at Curry Village, but it was manageable, and convenient access to everything in the valley.

Always such an excellent time in the valley-difficult to get sites due to popularity-but always the best time. Me and my friends go every year and its so good to get together.

Upper pines campground was amazing! Site 239 has plenty of space and could easily fit a few tents and pretty level. During the day you get equal amount sun and shade from the trees in the site. Not far from the bathrooms so in the middle of the night youβre not hiking. Bathrooms are clean. Phone service was surprisingly good, had no problems with calls. We went during mid October and the site is along a small creek that had some water running through. The rangers were all very friendly and informative about bears that pass through often. Overall had a great time, will definitely be coming back soon!

π We stayed at Upper Pines Campground in October, and it was an amazing experience!
The fall colors were absolutely stunning - trees turning orange and red everywhere.
π² It did get pretty cold at night, so we ended up sleeping in our Tesla Model Y instead of a tent, but it was totally worth it. π
A peaceful night under the stars before exploring Yosemite the next day - unforgettable! β€οΈ
