Upper pines was a great campsite! The rangers were really helpful and informative. The location is perfect for exploring the valley and an easy drive to glacier point, mariposa, etc.

The campsite 210 is located closest to the Vernal Falls trailhead so other campers just walk through your campsite shamelessly. You will get a lot of disturbance.

Upper Pines campsite was great. Lots of bathrooms, very big bear box for storage and great park angers/employees. My site had a smaller designated parking spot than most so we parked the 2nd car right next to it and were told by some park employees that a ranger is likely to give us a ticket for that so we had to squeeze in to be safe. I also appreciated staff alerting me to an incoming storm as the sunny skies did not lead me to check the weather, and boy did it rain. I did not realize when i booked at a dog friendly site that the dog would not be welcome on many of the hiking trails and cannot be left unattended at the camp site even with a kennel cage so it was a learning experience for me.

We were near the entrance and right by trash and recycling bins. The noise of people depositing trash and recycling was noticeable until surprisingly late in the evening, 10 pm. The sites further away from the entrance would have been a better choice. The park is beautiful, pick a spot, you can't go wrong.
