We had a great time at Upper Pines Campground in Yosemite. We lucked out to have two campsites immediately next to each other in two different dates. During our trip we hiked up the mirror lake trail which is a nice and easy hike for the entire family with some fun smaller natural pools at the end to refresh and hang out.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights in July, and while we enjoyed our stay overall, it was not the greatest campground experience. The location was great, allowing us to just walk to the hikes we wanted to rather than battling with vehicle traffic. However, we had other people walking directly through our site the whole time we were there to get to the restrooms. If you are just camping here as a convenient place to sleep in between hikes/site seeing during the day, I can recommend this campground, but if you plan to relax and hang out at your site, you may want to look elsewhere.

We absolutely loved our time camping in upper pines. We travelled from Canada to see Yosemite and it didn’t disappoint. It’s so beautiful. We will visit again for sure.
