Love camping in Yosemite Curry Valley. It’s convenient, beautiful, and easy access to showers/restrooms.

These campsites are so difficult to acquire and for good reason. Waking up to these beautiful views everyday is just incredible. It is remarkable how well kept these sites are with the thousands of visitors that come through. Upper Pines is amazing.

Lots of space for tents, deep and also a spot for a hammock. The view from the site is beautiful since there is a break in the trees.

Location is unbeatable. If you’re lucky enough to get a spot here, you’re right at the base of the Mist and John Muir Trail. Also walking distance to the creek and Curry Village. Bathrooms were clean and it was an added bonus that they flush.

The week I spent solo traveling to Yosemite was among the best in my life. I spent three nights at upper pines and then three nights backpacking a route that hit snow creek - mt Watkins - Tenaya lake - mid sunrise lake - cloud’s rest - little Yosemite valley - half dome - mist trail. Upper pines specifically was an awesome campground. Everyone is respectful and quiet when needed. Beautiful location, not far from the crystal clear Merced. My site was 70 and I found it to be a great location.
