What Guests Are Saying

Radium Recreation Area offers a beautiful campground along the Colorado River, praised for its cleanliness and friendly camp host, Kelly. Many visitors enjoy the peaceful location, proximity to rafting, and stunning sunsets. However, some concerns include noisy trains, a lack of potable water, and prairie dog issues, which detract from the overall experience.

Campsite is too short to allow for camping trailer and parking a vehicle yet there is plenty of space to extend the length of the RV space.

No services. Should have potable water at least for $34 a night. No trees at most sites; incredibly windy. Trash cans were overflowing in certain areas. Bathrooms were gross. Overall bad experience and most expensive campsite we booked on our 5 day bikepacking trip.!

Radium is great and the camp host (Kelly) was lovely. I come up here every year. My only complaint is that you used to visit year around. A couple years ago they spent a bunch of money putting up barriers so you couldn't visit year-around. Weird how I have to pay taxes year around but the gov't can take things away whenever they want.

We had a great couple days at the campground. Kelly, the camp host was really fun, informative, and helpful. The river was running at a decent level and there were hardly any people in camp until Friday evening. Beautiful sunsets in the valley. The spring was amazing.
