What Guests Are Saying
Radium Recreation Area offers beautiful scenery along the Colorado River, with clean facilities and friendly camp hosts who provide helpful information. While some campers noted issues like noise from trains, prairie dog activity, and maintenance concerns, many appreciated the peaceful and less crowded atmosphere compared to nearby areas. Overall, it's a great spot for rafting and fishing, though campers should prepare for potential disturbances and bring earplugs.

Even though we had cloudy/gloomy/rainy weather during our stay, this place was so great!!! Driving there is beautiful; and we were close to the river. The bathrooms were constantly checked on (I was super grateful for being provided sanitizer!!!), and there are nice dressing rooms! The host Kelly was absolutely amazing with our group as well!
We camped at Campsite B. I was very happy that there were many tables there for our big group! I believe there were 4 tables and a pit with a grill on it. I will definitely be visiting this location in the future again 😃

Wonderful campground with well kept camping areas and toilets. Lots of parking and easy access to the river. The wind in that valley was particularly brutal compared to the surrounding areas, and there's no tree cover, so bring your own shade. The trains are fairly loud, but nobody in our party found them too obnoxious, though your mileage may vary. All in all a great site that we'll be visiting again in the future!
