We have camped for 20 years in Colorado and the West. This was hands down the cleanest, most beautiful, and most remote pay campsite we've ever been to. Our group was around 35 campers and we fit more than comfortably. Everyone had ample room during the day to spread out and do their own thing. At night, the perfect fire ring lent our group enough room to enjoy late into the night. The camp host was courteous and kept the whole place in tip top shape. We couldn't have been more pleased with this campsite. Simply amazing.

Loved the campsite, all the campground rangers were very helpful - The nature trail was a really lovely walk and length, definitely recommend! Stayed at Chapman twice this past summer, sites were always clean and well-maintained

Brown water out of the faucets, noisy locals who come to "use the day facilities", rude camp host, dogs off leashes, picnic tables are uneven and rough, fire pits full of debris .

Chapman campground had the cleanest bathrooms we have ever experienced! We stayed over the 4th of July and reconciled ourselves to noise and crowds....what a different experience we had! It was quiet, with spacious ,wooded sites. The different " loops"gave it a much more secluded feel to it. Make sure you spend a day relaxing around the scenic lake. Paddle boarding is allowed.
