We stayed here while rafting the Crystal, Roaring Fork, and Colorado Rivers. The campground was quiet, bathrooms decent (though they could use some working locks on the doors), and the vegetation lush. The sites were graveled and not at all dusty. The Crystal is right nearby and can be easily accessed.

Nice location. 1-2 mi from the very small town of Redstone. Able to walk down to the Crystal River from the campground. Flush toilets and a shower at one location. Unfortunately, there was no dumping station on site.

Excellent facilities and cleanest pit toilets I’ve ever seen! The sites were better suited for RVs/campers than tents (we couldn’t get our stakes in the ground), but we made it work and had a fantastic time. The Crystal River is gorgeous!

Friendly and helpful staff! The only recommendations I have is that it would be nice to have 30 amp boxes and the showers were not consistently hot.

We have been coming here for 21 years, to enjoy the area and camp. The hosts Karen and Rob are by far the best we have seen. The campground is clean, well maintained and sites are always ready for campers. The bathrooms are spotless which says a lot due to both sides using the showers and toilets. They are friendly and always helpful. We have had the pleasure of enjoying them for two seasons and hope they continue to be there in the future. Thank you, your hard work does not go unnoticed!

Beautiful area. Very nice campground. Trees and shrubs in large sites well spaced. Very quiet. Bathrooms are clean. Folks cleaning were friendly and gave good information. Easy walk to town via a singletrack trail in the woods. All in all a good stay.
I would say that the website information could be updated. As noted, one loop has no hookups. But since the well is low there, there is no water at all in that loop. NFS said that trailers cannot connect to water hydrants to prevent contamination. But you can if there is a backflow preventer which there was. There is one hydrant in the other loop for this. It is a bit of a walk over there and is not possible to carry much water. Had we known it was available, we wouldn't have filled at a station 40 mi away. And once settled in and leveled off etc. it is an inconvenience. Just let folks know they can show up and hook up to the hydrant before heading to the other loop. Thanks.

Karen and Rob were fantastic hosts. They were friendly and made sure everyone was compliant for keeping bears out! The bathrooms were super clean.

This is one of the most enjoyable and clean USFS campgrounds I’ve ever stayed at. The camp hosts are simply at a different level and commitment to providing excellence. Thank you for a great few at your facility.

This site is in the inner ring which has more privacy from trees/shrubs than sites in the outer ring (it seems to me). The campground hosts were newer and very welcoming and generous helping us out. We biked into Redstone.
