What Guests Are Saying
Thunder Ridge Campground is praised for its beautiful setting, clean facilities, and friendly hosts, particularly Jan, who provides excellent service. Campers appreciated the well-maintained restrooms and the peaceful atmosphere, with many enjoying nearby hiking trails and the stunning reservoir views. However, some noted challenges with site sizes for tents, difficult access roads, and occasional strong winds, yet most expressed a desire to return.

If you're not from the area, make sure you take time to acclimate to the altitude before ascending to the Thunder Ridge Campground. Be prepared for an amazing experience, with wildlife wandering through your camp (don't feed the critters!). Camp host was wonderful; the restrooms were clean; the sites and facilities were in great shape. The night sky at this campground is awesome. Rampart Reservoir is gorgeous, but be prepared for it to be windy in the afternoons! We're definitely coming back -- for a longer stay!

I loved my site #11. It is a pull through with great scenery. The camp host present was doing a great job keeping up with everything. The table & tent pad are some steps down from the pull through driveway.
