About River Hill

River Hill is a popular campground on the banks of the Rio Grande River. Situated in a meadow surrounded by willows, campers come here to fish for trout, hunt and take in the beautiful views of the forested hills and rock bluffs. What Guests Are Saying

River Hill is a beautiful and well-maintained campground, praised for its stunning scenery and friendly hosts, Edie and Felix, who go above and beyond for guests. The facilities, including bathrooms, are consistently clean and well-cared for, making for a pleasant camping experience. While the access road has some washboards and there was an issue with fresh water pumps, these concerns do not overshadow the campground's overall appeal, and many visitors look forward to returning.

River Hill has been our favorite for the last few years. There are many reasons, including the area and activities, but the camp hosts (Edie and Felix) are top notch. They should be considered the gold standard for camp hosts. The sites are very well kept and the restrooms are the cleanest I have seen in the state. They are also accommodating and extremely knowledgeable of the area.
