What Guests Are Saying
River Hill is a beautiful and well-maintained campground, praised for its stunning scenery and friendly hosts, Edie and Felix, who go above and beyond for guests. The facilities, including bathrooms, are consistently clean and well-cared for, making for a pleasant camping experience. While the access road has some washboards and there was an issue with fresh water pumps, these concerns do not overshadow the campground's overall appeal, and many visitors look forward to returning.

The camp hosts, Felix And Edith, are the very best that we have ever encountered. They have each campsite cleaned before campers arrive, the rest rooms are cleaned to almost Operating Room standards at least twice per day. They make campers and visitors feel like a part of a caring community that wants to make them totally enjoy their vacation. If necessary Felix and Edith can explain the rules to campers who choose not to abide by the reasonable guidelines laid out by the Forest Service. They are not confrontational but ask those who defy the rules to comply and if they don't then they are reported to the Forest Service. In one case a camper had a kidney stone and had to go to a nearby hospital and was not able to vacate his campsite on the designated day. They worked with both sets of campers to see that each were served during the emergency. What more can one ask of Camp Hosts. They check with campers each day to see if they are enjoying their stay.
