The surrounding mountains are beautiful, the hiking is plentiful and the lakes are full of trout. We stayed for a week and enjoyed the surrounding area and all that it had to offer. The campground was well maintained and the camp host were very friendly and kept the campground and restrooms spotless. We will be back!

Loved being able to go fishing right around the campground and definitely felt safe with the bear proof trash cans and sink dump stations.

We had a great site and the campground host was very friendly. We really liked the park and the fishing was excellent as well. We will definitely be back.

The hosts were Great. Cleanest bathrooms. Just wish fellow campers would not run generators all day even though it is within camp rules time limit.

Well taken care of campground, surrounded by breath taking views, easy access to rivers and hiking trails. Large rig friendly driving though the grounds. Some sites are quite small if bringing a big rig ensure you reserve one that can hold your length.

The rest rooms were always cleaned, supplied, and really nice. Campground hosts were truly hosts—always available, very pleasant, and helpful with our questions. We enjoyed the “not crowded” feel of the campground along with the great trailheads for two hikes and the beautiful Rio Grande.

The camp hosts were super nice. They came by to introduce themselves and to make sure I was satisfied with my site. If you’re lucky, you may meet Mitch who volunteers to give information on hiking in the area.
For someone who sleeps in a tent, this was a selling point: cleanest and nicest vault toilets ever!
The location is absolutely exquisite! I wish I spent more nights there. I will definitely be coming back in the future!
