Booked 4 nights to use as a base camp to park my car while i was on a 5 day hike.
Camp host was told me they have a 14 day parking area for such a thing and that he'd cancel my reservation.
They billed me anyhow!!

Camp ground hosts were not very cooperative with needs of the campers. Poor maintenance or no maintenance of sites and toilets. Time spent cleaning outhouses 3-5 minutes. Certainly not enough time to do more than change toilet paper and spray. Most sites were never groomed.

We camped at Thirty Mile end of July 2021. It was a beautiful campground in the trees, and we loved our campsite which backed up to Squaw Creek. We did two dayhikes from the trailhead (right from the campground), and also fished in the Rio Grande reservoir and river. We can highly recommend this campground!

We hiked, kayaked and fished.....it was beautiful! We were not bothered by all the off road vehicles, for the most part! small nearby towns were very busy. Gorgeous part of the state and temps very nice!

Elevation: 2,847 ft
From Alamosa, go west on US 160 to South Fork. Turn northwest on State
Highway 149 through Creede. Continue on Highway 149 to mile marker 41,
turn west (gravel road) on Rio Grande Reservoir Road and continue for 12 mi to
Thirty Mile Campground.
Thirty Mile Campground is accessible via US Highway 160 and State Highway 149. US 160 is approximately 25 miles to the south, providing access to South Fork.
