The sites were large with concrete pads, graveled site, landscaping and a sheltered picnic table area. Staff were friendly and helpful.
The only thing I would say is that we have camped in many State Parks across the nation and have never been charged an additional parking fee for every day we stayed in park over our site fee. That is the only negative experience at this lovely park.

Well maintained campground a short drive from downtown Durango, CO, and surrounding areas. Excellent base camp to explore the area. Only the E Loop is electrified, and only the D and E Loops have consistent cell reception. The camp hosts were very friendly with firewood is available onsite.

We will be returning here again next year!! The campground was definitely the cleanest one I have ever been to. It was obvious that the hosts loved the land and took great care of it. I highly recommend this campground to anyone wanting to stay near Durango.
