Camp sites are well maintained. Toilets are not far from any camp site. Drinking water is available near each toilet. Most camp sites are shaded. Locate 5 miles out of Durango, CO. Dump stations located across from Walmart at the RV sales & parts place.

Second time staying at Junction Creek and it was just as great the first time around as it was for the second! Camping spot Loop D, site 4, not ideal for tents because there isnt much room, but not impossible. Bathrooms were tidy and cleaned, no garbage laying around camp, and the hosts were very friendly again and let us know about the current fire restrictions. Group went to vallecito lake and rented kayaks like we did last year and had an excellent time again. Marina staff were friendly and had their masks on for safety, and ensured everything was following protocol for group settings. Would definitely recommend visiting just for the views but being out on the water is definitely fun and family friendly. Would also recommend taking a drive to the junction Creek mountain look out. Instead of forking to the left to the camp sites, go right and follow the road to the viewpoint (about 7 miles). Very scenic and peaceful. There is a trail but my group didnt get to try it out because it was too late in the evening, but definitely will try again next year! All around great experience again!

Really convenient and thus popular campground just minutes outside of Durango. Sites aren't super-private but they are well-spaced. Plenty of trees for shade, a quiet locale on the side of a hill makes it feel more isolated than being able to drive into town in under 10 minutes. It's clean and well-maintained.

Spacious sites with tree cover, well kept. Ample space between sites. Beautiful woodland area up and away from it all.

Good location near Durango. Quiet and forested, right on the CT. Sites were well spread, but parking areas were not very large or level. Some may have issues with that. Bathrooms are pit toilets and were the cleanest and nicest I have ever seen.

Probably one of the best and cleanest campgrounds I have visited in a while. The camp hosts were very friendly and made sure our site was presentable. There was an overbooking of my initial slot so they upgraded us and gave us free firewood. It was very quiet and beautiful. We tented camped but there was a lot of room for trailers if needed. Will definitely be planning another trip soon!
