The campground was beautiful with a great view of the mountains. It was quiet at night and staff was nice and helpful. Very convenient drive to RMNP trails.

This was my first camping experience. I liked the campground, and all the facilities provided. For me the only difficulty was navigating to my camp spot.

We loved our campsite: D138. It has a beautiful view of the mountains, was not too close to other sites, and had a grove of trees on one side. The only downside is that the occasional RV would park across the street from us. The bathrooms were very clean, new, and very close by. There is a really nice spot the campground has set up to hang your solar shower. It has walls and is clean, roomy, and private. It also has a cool pulley contraption to get your shower high enough.
The location is great. The shuttle picks up a short walk away. There is a beautiful creek/river on one site of the campground for fishing and wading. You can drive or take the shuttle to some gorgeous hikes.
The only downside with this campground is that there are very few bear boxes. This means lots of uneducated (or maybe lazy) campers leave their food and dishes around. It is a pain to load and unload all your scented stuff in and out of the car all the time. I did talk to a ranger about this and he said that they will be upgrading the campground soon and putting in boxes at each site. Once that's done, the campsite will be perfect :-)

Rangers at the campground we're great, really enjoyed the evening programs. Who would have thought you could get a 9 year old to sit through astronomy programs on dark skies and nigh photography?! Very special first time in the mountains for my boy. Thanks to the entire RMNP staff!

We had a pleasant stay at Glacier Basin! The proximity to the Bear Lake area was a huge plus.

This CG is very large with a lot of people but my site felt semi-private. I was on the outer perimeter with trees. Bathrooms were in great shape. I was very happy camping there.

Our Glacier Basin campsite was clean and well kept. The nearby restroom was clean - my wife met the ranger who wakes at 4am to clean all of the restrooms and she does a great job! The views from Longs Peak to Hallett Peak are spectacular!
