Site B041: Enough trees to keep tent shaded, enough space between the trees to see the stars at night. Right across from food storage locker and toilets. Easy walk from Sprague Lake.

This is campground you want to be at if you are hiking in Estes Park area. Great base camp. Close to the better trails. Beautiful views. Also stayed at Aspenglen campground for one night. Wouldn’t recommend that location for few reasons.

This location is close to several sites of interest. It has metal bear-proof lockers between campsites for storing food. The campsite also included a gravel covered pad for putting up tents. Because the ground was hard, we put large stones in our tent to anchor it.

We had a great time here. The facilities were clean and easy to get too. It was quiet at night and other campers were friendly. It was great to have an included timed-pass with the camping reservation and it was close to great hiking trails. There was no cell coverage but that was one of the best features.

Anytime camping with in the park is an awesome experience. You can hike several direction right from your campsite plus I got to experience my first Bear encounter and I will always make sure my car is locked this isn't a myth it was the first time I locked my car at night and the bear went right for my door handles.
