What Guests Are Saying
North Fruita Desert Campground offers a fantastic location right off the North 18 Road trails, making it ideal for mountain biking enthusiasts. The campground features spacious, clean sites with good amenities, and recent road paving has improved access significantly. While some reviews noted issues with toilet paper availability and occasional overcrowding, the overall experience is praised for its excellent trail access and well-maintained facilities.

This was not a suitable campsite for the equipment (travel trailer + vehicle) and number for since we had. It is literally a pull off on the side of a busy road. We could not open our slide off because it would have gone directly into the road and then hit by cars. I have a three-year-old and a dog, there is no way they would’ve been safe in this site. Further, there is no access save a tiny opening to the majority of the campsite. I seriously do not understand how this is actually marked as a campsite? It shouldn’t be allowed.
I literally kept walking around the site, saying, this cannot be the campsite. We ended up forfeiting our money and just going off just to a dispersed site because it was better than that site.

Used to come here a long time ago and it has changed a lot. Arrived Thursday and it was a great night. Friday was a different story. Super crowded, there are far too many sites packed in to such a small space. Dogs running around unsupervised pooping in other people’s sites. 10 different kinds of music playing over each other on speakers. Just a mess. If you’re going with a big group of friends to bike it could be fun, but don’t go here on the weekend thinking you’re going camping.

What…paved road! Yep, the road leading up to the upper campground was mostly paved! For those who had the pleasure of driving this unpaved section of Road 18, you know how rough it was, especially when towing a trailer. Thank you to all that had anything to do with getting this project approved…you rock!
