North Fruita Desert Campground offers a fantastic location right off the North 18 Road trails, making it ideal for mountain biking enthusiasts. The campground features spacious, clean sites with good amenities, and recent road paving has improved access significantly. While our first day was plagued by high traffic through the campground due to road construction, that is a temporary inconvenience that will result in a much more convenient experience in the future. The views are beautiful, the campground is quiet, and we could ride our bikes right from our campsite to the trails (the most significant draw for us camping here).
We look forward to our next trip out here!

We chose this site to escape the wind. The vault toilets were clean, as was the campground. Some of the trails end in this campground, so it is very convenient.

A great spot for biking and camping if you don't mind being close to your neighbors. Each camping spot has fire pit and picnic table. Vault toilets, but make sure to bring toilet paper just in case (most ran out by Saturday morning). Interesting that the campsites are slightly pricy and there's no dumpster..

Always love Fruita! However, the Roam Festival was going on and did not abide my quite time. You would think woman would have been the first to do so! Other than that, great riding.

The trail system is amazing, and the camping, if you have the right rig, is awesome as well. The upper campground is not for large rigs, in fact most dual axle RV trailers will be too big. It can be done, but expect some challenges. We will be back for sure.
