Reserving was easy, the site was good, and the restrooms clean and operating well. Perfect experience for us.

While the weather was not ideal, saddlehorn campground was. I was accustomed to seeing the camp host but was surprised to see that there was not a camp host during my visit.

Just a lovely experience. The camp spaces were releatively private. That is a good thing. Please do not over crowd the campsites. Will be nice when more sites are open that were closed.

This is a beautiful spot that we have visited many times through the years. This visit was sub-par due to the bathrooms being closed in our loop and the lack of water anywhere in the area.

Wonderful campsite!! Very close to bathroom, which is heated and very clean, and water. We had good cell service and an amazing view, which was only a short walk away. We arrived at 6pm and wished we arrived early to enjoy the daytime view and trails a little longer. HIGHLY recommend this campsite.

Saddlehorn is excellent. Perched atop the mesa, there are incredible views out over fruita, easy access to the visitor center and short, beautiful hikes. We brought bikes and didn't have to use the car to get around. Our trip was mid October. Temperatures were perfect, and there were plenty of spaces left. There is not a ton of shade from the junipers, something to consider especially in summer. Not all sites are created equal. In the B loop, some are tiny, especially inside the loop, and don't have much or any tent pad. Parking for RVs is pretty slim as well. Bathrooms have sinks and flush toilets, quite the luxury. Drinking water was also really good.
The C-loop looks to have been updated recently, and the sites have built up and level tent pads, perfect for big 6-8 person tents. I wouldn't hesitate to grab a site in c-loop next time. They were actively working on a new amphitheater in Oct 2023.
Overall a great place to camp.
