What Guests Are Saying
Rabbit Valley offers a well-maintained campground with clean facilities and stunning views, particularly from Knowles Overlook. The large, spaced-out campsites provide a peaceful atmosphere, ideal for off-roading and outdoor activities. However, access can be challenging due to a rough road, and the lack of shade and amenities may not suit everyone.

What a great spot. Spent a few nights here in May '24 with our truck camper. Great setting, toilet well maintained and sites well attended to for a camp ground without a host.
Lots to do close by. Beautiful views and setting and while full, all other campers were well mannered. The only complaint is that while we were out one day someone took our site - when it was pointed out that they were in someones reserved site they left but not without a bit of confrontation Not the campgrounds fault but it was a blemish on an otherwise excellent experience.

Great spot with great views! Most of the sites are not a traditional back in, but aren’t big enough for pull through either so be prepared for some trailer manuvering. The road up there is definitely one lane and could be a little sketchy when wet.

Other than the crappy weather it was wonderful. Nice campsite. Beautiful views.

Nice campground, spaces spaced out fairly well. Scenic. Good base for mountain biking. Only downside - no toilet paper in bathrooms for 3 days.

Great views. Sound from I-70 slightly disturbing. Campers taking advantage of unmonitored camping area. Large groups (10 campers) in one site ) with loud music until 1:30 am….

Good location as a halfway point or quick overnighter for us. Unfortunately, people are not respectful of this no longer being a FCFS sight, and both times we attempted to camp in our reserved and paid site, someone had taken it.
If you are planning to just come for a night and show up late, best to just check Recreation.gov and make sure you’re not taking a reserved site. This location can be tough to find a flat spot if you are using an RTT.

Somebody else was camped in our spot that I paid $70 for. They had kids with them and I didn’t have the heart to ask them to move.

Beautiful, peaceful, great views. This site backs to some red rocks and you have zero highway noise. Great base for mountain biking or riding dirt bikes. Site is unlevel and slopes pretty badly but we made it work.

Campsite was great, but we had 2 chairs, a fold out table, an ax and 2 pieces of firewood stolen from our sight.
