What Guests Are Saying
Rabbit Valley offers a well-maintained campground with clean facilities and stunning views, particularly from Knowles Overlook. The large, spaced-out campsites provide a peaceful atmosphere, ideal for off-roading and outdoor activities. However, access can be challenging due to a rough road, and the lack of shade and amenities may not suit everyone.

There had been rain and the road up to the camp site was a deep mud slick mess. Driving 7 plus tons of RV was dangerous and heart stopping. We realizes the next day that we were the only ones to make it to the campground as there were tracks in the mud of other vehicles attempting but failing to get up the steep road which has a drop off next to it. We only stayed 1 of the 2 nights reserved as my wife couldn’t relax and stop worrying about getting out. State badly needs to get gravel on that road similar to what they have in the campground.

Great views from most of the campsites! The road was in good shape going there but it isn't always.

Nice basic gravel pad. Stayed here many times before it became pay as the location is ideal during a commute. I don't mind the fee but $28 for a spot is ridiculous. Fire pit and parking spot

Approach road in decent shape, no worse than my last visit-no washouts or major potholes. Good view of Taurid meteor shower, good vista at sunset. Pit toilet clean and well supplied with TP. Tent platform appreciated.

Rabbit Valley was our super special find for a quick overnight camping spot when traveling on I-70 and all we needed was a spot to prop our tent to sleep for a few hours. Now, with the $20 cost and the $8 fee, $28 is too expensive for what we need. I’m sure the toilets and gravel on the roads and sites are nice upgrades for people staying and recreating in the area, but the amenities are lost on us and price us out of this campground. Where do we go now for free, dispersed camping near I-70?
