We’ve been coming to blue mesa now for four years and stay three times a year for four days. Campground is always clean so is the bathrooms all campers are very friendly and willing to give advice on how to catch fish in the blue mesa

Very nice campground. Extremely windy the time we were there. So we did not stay outside as much as we would have liked. We did do quite a bit of shore fishing at various places. We are amateur fishermen, but still caught some fish.

28 was a walkin campsite even though it didn't clearly mention that when booking. There's zero trees or privacy, it's a very open space. That itself wasn't an issue but it's important to know-- the real issue for us was the crazy wind! Not the fault of the campsite obviously but just a warning to check the local weather before you go, apparently this is a notoriously windy spot. We couldn't get our tent to stay and knew with the wind we wouldn't be able to get a fire going for cooking. I wouldn't say this is an ideal place to tent camp-- rather with a camper or RV.

The cleanest restrooms I have ever seen! So nice to have flush toilets at a campground. The sites were level and nice maintained. Beautiful views at night of the reservoir!

Nice sites and beautiful nights were had. Neversink trail was a nice trail and easy to do with grandson. Black Canyon of the Gunnison is a must see while camping at Elk Creek.

A really beautiful campsite with an amazing view over the lake. The spot itself was very scenic and peaceful, definitely the highlight of the stay.
Restrooms were okay and kept in decent condition. Verizon service was actually surprisingly good, which made staying connected easy even out here in nature.
Overall a great campground if you’re looking for a nice lakeside setting.

- All watercraft must be inspected for invasive species before launching.
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
