Clean, fully functional bathrooms, clearly marked campsites with tables and firepits, and fun little ranger led sessions on the weekend! We booked another trip here after our first night. Truly loved the site and the whole recreation area!

The location is a five star but I give it four stars for the reservation system. Some of the sites are first come first serve on the website, some are reserve only. It was confusing once I got there to see reservation labels hung on unoccupied sites that were FCFS. Once I got things worked out with the camp host I was good to go. Nice having the Rio Grande river steps from the campsite. Very quick access back to the main road.

Level camp sites with 50amp electric, paved roads and camp sites, clean rest rooms with flush toilets and running water, good access to the boat ramp, large camp sites with room for a second vehicle, access to a very large lake., beautiful visitor center, great dump station.
Can't ask for more than that.

Campground is well maintained by both the camp hosts and the NPS personal. Especially a shout out to the professionalism of the NPS Law Enforcment Officers who handled an incident, that occurred during our stay, in an exceptional manner.
Great family friendly campground.

Fabulous campground in a very picturesque location. Campground host were very friendly. We had a water and electric site. The only negative I can mention is NO BATHHOUSE. They have bathrooms but no showers. The beauty easily overcomes the one negative, especially since we are self contained. We would definitely stay here in the future,
