The walk in sites have a great view and are still close to parking lot and bathrooms which are clean and stocked. Camp hosts were present, friendly and helpful.

They really made a nice campground. The camp hosts were so nice. When I booked I thought we would be in a parking lot. And it kinda is but really was an amazing parking lot:). I highly recommend this for anyone who wants to fish or if you need a launchpad for other activities. Or for someone like me that doesn’t want to camp in a dirt lot.
Truthfully was a great spot with great views.

The campgrounds are very well maintained. The bathrooms are very nice. The scenery is fantastic and best of all there were no bugs! Would recommend staying there and I'll be back.

This is a very nice campground, with good facilities for RVs, Tents and boats. We did tent camping in the walk-in area which has a BEAUTUFUL western view over the lake and dam. Very nice sites with level sand/fine gravel pads and a firepit, table. Convenient restrooms. The only thing lacking are showers, but if you are only there a day or so it doesn't matter and the air is so dry you don't get sticky. Convenient to Gunnison for supplies, catching dinner, a bit far from the canyon but not terrible and a beautiful drive.
