Our 2nd stay here in a different site. Very enjoyable overall. We had a great hike from the trailhead in the campground. Love the easy access from Colorado Springs. Will definitely return.

Great spot! We camped at no 19, had fantastic views, plenty of room for 4 people and 2 vehicles and it was very clean (even the vault toilets!)! There were plenty of trees for shade and privacy, the sites were far enough apart we didn’t hear other campers much. The host had plenty of fire wood to buy, and made the rounds a couple of times, which is nice to see. Will def be coming back!

# 14 Campsite is placed in a ravine, when if it were to rain it may flood... not good layout planning. The site I booked was quiet and secluded, still adequate size to back in a 27 FT. Travel Trailer and vehicle.

There is a lovely short hiking trail that leaves from this campground. It didn't show up on the AllTrails app.

We got in late and we’re only spending one night, so we didn’t get the full experience, but our campsite was beautiful and we enjoyed our stay.

My friend and I went on a last minute trip just to get away from the city, see the stars, and take a break from college and job stress— we got to site 004 around 7pm when it was dark, set up, and made a fire. The site itself was awesome for a last minute campsite. It’s right across from the host site, but still secluded enough that it doesn’t feel like you’re crowded. The hosts themselves were lovely people who checked in on us and exchanged pleasantries when we walked past their site. (It was my friend’s first time camping, and as two younger college kids, it was nice to feel safe knowing the hosts were there and very friendly/welcoming if we needed help with anything.) The site itself has a small set of steps up from where you park your vehicle, and the table and fire pit is about 10 feet away past some trees and up a small hill. There was a clearing where we could stargaze, and we had no issues with noise or anything like that. There’s a small trail about 50 feet away from the site, which is very worth exploring if you get the chance! The bathrooms are vault toilets that are shockingly clean, which was unexpected (yet very exciting for two city kids lol.) This campground is so worth visiting, especially if it’s your first time camping or you’re looking for an easy and peaceful trip. We saw a ton of wildlife as well! The land is healthy and thriving, and is fantastic for an early fall trip when the aspens begin to turn color! My friend and I are already planning to come back the next time we have a break!

We had a great weekend here using as a basecamp into Eleven Mile Canyon to fish the South Platte.
The camp sites were reasonably sized though we had a little trouble finding a good flat spot for the tent. The bathrooms at the site were impressively clean. The trail over the ridge to Riverside Campground is well cleared and marked.
The campground worked great for us. Highly recommended!

Overall, this site is in a fairly good location. When we went 90% of the sites were tent camping so it was quiet with no generator noise. The site 15 itself requires quite a bit of leveling. I have a hard sided pop-up camper and it required five of those yellow leveling blocks in order to make my rig level. I think this is the case with most of the sites so if you do not have any sort of way to level your camper, then you are going to be disappointed, otherwise it was not bad. To get into this spot I recommend going to the left at the entrance, not straight this way you’ll feel like you’re going backwards through the campsite, but it’ll be a lot easier to back the trailer in. It is about 50 to 70 yards from the bathroom. We did not notice a smell the vast majority of the time but as a warning, it is very close to the bathroom but for us it was not an issue in terms of noise or smell. we come to blue Mountain once or twice every year, at least, and every time it has been fine and we have no issues with the campsite overall and enjoy it.
