Campsite 19 is basically a pull off on the road with a super steep area for the fire pit. It was not safe to stay with our kids. This shouldn’t be part of the campsites offered, or clearly explained before booking.

Be aware, this is not suitable for a Handicapped camp site at all. The spot for the camper is on a very inclined and uneven hill, making it extremely difficult to impossible to level the camper unless you’ve brought an unusual amount of your own supplies to do so with. However, even if you manage to precariously level the camper, you still will face a VERY long step down from the camper on VERY sloping ground and rather loose fine gravel. You’ve just camped on the side of a rather steep hill basically. Doable for a fairly athletic person, but certainly hazardous if you intend to have a couple of beers at most, and possibly dangerous if you might need to get up at night and walk to the bathrooms. Which I should mention, are about 100 yards away back up around the gravel road. But certainly a dangerous trek in a wheelchair, especially back down the road even in daylight. Again, a long difficult and somewhat treacherous distance for a Handicapped Spot!
However, the restrooms were very clean and well maintained! As are the roads and all the campsites. It was very quiet there during the weekdays we were there, Monday Tuesday and Wednesday, but we left one day early because of the difficult incline of the site. It was Just too exhausting and becoming dangerous getting in and out of the camper.
We saw other sites at this campground that would possibly be suitable for handicapped, but none I could really recommend as Handicapped. In fact, this site is probably the least suitable site in this campground as Handicapped.
Otherwise a very nice quiet dark sky place for healthy mobile or athletic young families .

Great campground- clean, easy to get to, good size sites, well maintained and everyone was respectful. Good easy hikes right from the campground and easy to get over to the canyon/reservoir. We will return!

The campground was nice! I just wouldn’t recommend site #11 due to the slant, it was so tricky finding a spot for our tent. There wasn’t any ideal / flat areas at this site.
