Great experience! Host was nice & knowledgable on the area. River access is limited if you aren't on that side of the campground (you'd have to cut through other campsites), but #5 seemed to be the only campsite with good hammocking trees which was a huge plus for me. Platte River Trail is a short drive up the road, about a 6.5 mi round trip out-and-back hike. If you have Verizon, forget about having any kind of service out there! I had to drive toward Florissant to get a text to go through. Really nice to completely unplug though. There were lots of smaller animals around so be mindful of your food and trash. Bathrooms were clean. The dirt road coming in wasn't bad at all, a little washboard action going on but I've driven on much worse. Quiet hours were from 10-7, and all the other campers were very respectful of this (no issues with generators at night). Would definitely stay here again!
