What a find. Great campsites, Tarryall Creek for tubing, Lizard Rock Tr for hiking. Tarryall Reservoir is only 12 miles away for fishing and kayaking. Cleanest campground we've been to this summer

Gorgeous surroundings and awesome hosts. Brought tubes for the river - only got in one trip due to rain but it was a blast; definitely not a leisurely float but was fun.

I love this campground! The kids love to float the stream and play in the water. If you get a spot that is by the stream you will likely have people in and around your campsite as they make their way to the stream with their float tubes, just FYI. The sites are nicely spaced apart and felt fairly private. The toilets were very clean, but old and extremely stinky! The park service should put these on their list to make upgrades. I have been at 3 other campgrounds this year that I've booked through Recreation.gov that were so much better! Not the campground hosts fault at all, they did the best with what they had to work with by keeping everything clean, even raked the dirt outside, but they couldn't do anything to keep the horrible smell and flies at bay. But regardless, we had a great time and will return year after year. We'll just bring our own porta-potty next time!!

Beautiful area. It was definitely a popular campground, but for car camping it was worth it. This campground is very well looked after. They were already tending to the adjacent site less than an hour after the occupants had left. So very clean sites. Very well maintained. My complaints would be more for the occupants than the grounds, which was a particular family allowing their dog, positioned near the entry/exit (where the bridge is), to bark at folks whenever they walked by, and people cutting limbs off of live trees (for firewood, I'm sure). That's a bummer, but there will be people like that wherever you go. Regardless, can't wait to camp here again.
