I've been going to Turquoise Lake every year for 10 years. The camp grounds are always clean and the camp hosts are very helpful.

we really like the site and is planning on returning this year but in July The camp host was wonderful and friendly. Hope we can get our or site 21 this year.

The camp site was big and the views of the lake were beautiful. It wasn't noisy either. There were some mosquito so bring the spray.
Hiking around the lake is a must and next time we are getting a water craft (raft, kayak, or paddle board) as you can see the bottom of the crystal clear water all the way out.

From Leadville, Colorado, drive west on County Road 4 about 3.5 miles, turn right on County Road 9C and follow signs to Baby Doe Campground.

Utilities
- Water will not be available at the campground in 2026; please bring your own.
- There are no hookups available at this campground.
Vehicles & parking
- Each campsite reservation includes two vehicles; additional vehicles incur a fee of $11.00 per night.
- OHVs, ATVs, and dirt bikes are prohibited in the campground.
Site capacity
- A maximum of 8 people can occupy one campsite.
- Each site can accommodate a maximum of 2 tents or 1 RV and 2 tents.
Pets
- All dogs must be leashed at all times, including service and therapy dogs.
Safety & rules
- Generators cannot be operated after designated hours.
- The use of firearms and fireworks is prohibited.
- Caution is advised when traveling to this high elevation facility.
Wildlife & food storage
- Do not leave food unattended at your site; it should be locked inside your vehicle or RV to avoid attracting bears.

- To prevent the spread of pests, obtain firewood locally and burn it on-site.
