The current camp hosts on the lower loop of Baby Doe are amazing! They were both very friendly and the bathrooms were extremely clean.

Baby Doe is a beautiful campground. Being so close to the lake was perfect for the fishermen, and leisurely walks. The mountain views are stunning. The only problem we had was the entries to the campsites are a bit difficult to back in to, especially with a 35 feet long camper.

Beautiful campground right on the lake. Sites are spacious and we only had a two minute walk to the lake. Campground restrooms were kept clean. It snowed when we were there early June so make sure you come prepared for high elevation cold, weather reports before hand did not say snow until we were there! Great place to stay.

I had an original reservation from June 1 to 5th - you canceled it an required me to rebook at three different sites at the campground, requiring I move every day or so; then made site 004 a First Come First Served. Not good! However, the camp hosts assisted us in getting a site so we could move only once. Site is great - the cancellations not sensible or explained.

We absolutely loved our camping experience at Baby Doe. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking and the sites were enormous and quite spread out. (We were able to fit 2 tents and an RV on our one spot.) In addition, it's close enought to Leadville so you can easily get anything you need. Finally, there is terrific fishing, hiking, biking and 4WD trails all very close, so there is something for everyone. Highly recommend!
