What Guests Are Saying
Lakeview Campground offers stunning views, well-maintained sites, and a private, quiet atmosphere, making it a favorite among visitors. Many appreciated the clean facilities and helpful camp host, Rick, who enhances the experience. While some sites may be smaller than advertised and noise from nearby roads and dispersed campers can be an issue, the overall beauty and accessibility to trails and nearby lakes make it a worthwhile destination.

Enjoyed Kayaking on the Lake. Kids enjoyed playing on the beach and "getting wet". Caught a few fish too! Camp host, Dan, we very welcoming and informative.

The location of the campground was great. It is in such close proximity to Twin Lakes and hiking trails. While the spots are rather small and close together, it was worth it for the location. The campground host was extremely friendly and helpful.

This is one of the nicest campgrounds I have ever stayed at. The views were so great (especially from site 11)! The bathrooms were very well-maintained, extremely clean for the fact that they are vault toilets. The campground host was so kind and helpful when we arrived. They are consistently monitoring the grounds, so it felt very safe and they were aware of what was going on throughout the campgrounds. Would highly recommend!!

The location was excellent and our host was very pleasant! We enjoyed our stay here. We went whitewater rafting on the Arkansas river, spent time in Leadville and kayaked on the Twin lakes. Great time and wonderful campsite!

This campground was established in the 1960s so the sites are not completely flat. Some sites can be a challenge to park a 30ft rv even if it says it can accommodate it. Restrooms are very clean. Dan the campground host was very helpful.

We were unable to use the campsite because some of our party were unable to come. I tried to cancel ahead of time but was unable to talk to anyone who could help me. I was able to talk with someone who said to wait until after July 15. I was unable to cancel online. Now Recreation.gov said to call facility manager at 719-486-0749 but that number referred me back to Recreation.gov. Here it is July 16 and still no help.

Campground sites on C loop were very well maintained and clean vault toilets. Can’t say the same for D loop. Great location near Twin Lakes.

Great campground with a view of the Lake! Wish we could've extended our stay one night. The campground host was very friendly and told us we could move to either of the 2 FCFS loops if we wanted to stay another night. Great location if you are visiting Aspen and don't want to stay in that town. Also close to Leadville and Buena Vista!

The camp hosts were friendly and amazing! It was a joy to experience the attention to detail they showed. The bathrooms were the cleanest we experienced and this during a busy 4th of July holiday. We enjoyed our stay so much, that we extended it. Thanks again ;)
