What Guests Are Saying
Molly Brown campground is praised for its beautiful location, spacious sites, and excellent amenities, such as clean restrooms and attentive hosts. Campers appreciate the stunning sunsets, proximity to hiking trails, and activities like paddleboarding and biking. However, a recurring concern is the lack of potable water, which requires guests to bring their own supplies.

Beautiful campground, good shade all-round. Upper loop has no visual of lake; lower loop has some lake views.
We were hassled by a tent camper for using our generator during 'approved, non-quiet hours.' That said, we were also graced by some really nice tent campers. There will be generators - if you don't want to hear them, camp in a 'tent only' campground.
We have two sea kayaks (50-65 lbs.) w/ kayak dollies. Road from campsite #26 was good; however, the last 100 yds from road to shoreline was scattered rocky and difficult, even w/ dollies. We weren't sure if it was a good idea to leave kayaks at shore unattended over night ...so we didn't.
Altitude affected my (Denver native) wife - while not aerobically strong, she's in good shape and said that the altitude kicked her butt - she noticed it most when pulling kayaks from water back to campsite.
Great to see all the free-range kids on bicycles riding throughout the campground.
Lots of beetle kill mitigation happening around the campgrounds but not IN the campgrounds.
Camp hosts were incredibly pleasant and helpful.
Sadly, amazed @ the number of campsites reserved but un-occupied. There's got to be a better reservation and cancellation system.
Interesting that part of this review process is to rank cell phone coverage ...we're camping, turn the phones off!

We loved our stay at Molly Brown, the campsites were spacious and very well kept with great access to the lake. The restrooms were also very clean. A bit windy in the afternoons but we will definitely return, it was gorgeous!

The site was beautiful, as always. The camp hosts were aloof, at best. They weren’t enforcing the rules (hammocks tied to trees etc) and flat out told a camper that, although fires were not permitted on the shoreline, it would never be enforced. We had an additional car, which we were prepared to pay for, but since we never had any personal contact with the host, we never received the passes for the included cars, nor did we pay for the additional car. The multiple signs posted at the host site made it clear that they were not to be disturbed.
