Clean campground. Private sites with lots of space and trees between them. Two men/women vault toilets on the loop, so one is still available while the other is cleaned. Lots of firewood available for sale for $10 a bundleβjust put the cash in a slot. Short walk to lake with beautiful views. Water is very cold, but paddleboarding after the wind slowed down around 6pm was gorgeous! Our second time meeting friends here, and Iβd do it again.

Camp site was great, camp host was excellent. However, there was a camper that ran a generator non-stop. Needs to be something done about these.

National Forest site, remote and beautiful. The forest seemed unhealthy. The trails were clear.
Our res was in a site unsuitable for our rig, but the camphost immediately moved us to a spectacular one, huge and level.
We had adequate cell and internet. Leadville was only 15 minutes away, with everything we needed.
The camphost told us there is no dump facility for the San Lius forest,so we had to go to the Leadville Sanitation department and pay $20 to dump, and $10 to fill our fresh tanks.

When we came not many sites were occupied so we had it to ourselves. The campground is beautiful with lots of trees. The hiking trails around the campground were great and allowed us to stretch our legs and get the dogs out. The bathrooms and campground were VERY clean. The camp host was friendly and helpful. We were a short 10 minute drive to Leadville. 5G Google Fi and AT&T cell service was very good as we were able to stream during a rain storm with no issues.
The sites are a bit unlevel but nothing leveling blocks can't handle. The fire pit was full of ash and old wood but we use a propane fire box so not a huge deal. We will definitely come back!

Great campsite. Site 21 next to host David. Drop was well maintained & clean with TP supply. Numerous easy hiking trails & Turquoise Lake 1/4 mile from site 21. Good shade. Bring your skeeter repellent. AT7T coverage 3 bars on an old S8+ & 4 bars on a newer iPhone.
