We tried a new loop this year. As always, the campground was nice. And cell service was decent. We have always loved Twin Lakes BUT-when will the water system be fixed? We were told years ago that it would be fixed by the next year. And it never has been. Our group will probably search for a new campground next year because of the lack of water. We feel that it is a fire hazard to have no access to water.

Enjoyable stay. We are tent campers and relocated from our reserved space in the Sage loop for a nicer site in the Ridge Loop. Ridge loop sites are first come first served, and not as newly renovated as the reservable sites, but are in the trees and offer more privacy. As of Summer 2023 there is no water available in the campground, so come prepared. We never met the camp hosts, but restrooms were clean.

We stayed one night in early June and loved it. Our campsite was beautiful, trees everywhere, and not close to anyone else. There was a pit toilet, however it was the cleanest one I’ve ever seen. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it to other who want a nice quiet place to camp in the woods.

Nice area, sites in the sage loop are spacious. Clean - restrooms, sites, overall very nicely kept. The camphosts friendly and helpful. This is one of my favorite areas.

Beautiful campground but poor oversight; there’s been no water and no dump station for years… and there’s no excuse. I don’t know who’s got the concession on this campground, but they need the heave ho.

It does not get much better than this as far as views go. The view from this particular campsite was second to none. Very clean space, and just a short walk to the restroom and dumpsters. The Bartlett Gulch Loop was moderate, but very enjoyable and we finished our afternoon hike with a quick drive to the Mt. Elbert Forebay which was gorgeous.

The camp host was great, I’ve been going to Twin Lakes since I was a kid. Primary problem is it’s too popular and requires booking as soon as the new year opens. The dump station is STILL not available, seriously folks get your stuff together.

Th campground is well kept & has great views of the beautiful surrounding area. There is plenty to do in this general area.
There is no potable water available in the campground or campgrounds nearby. Had several visits from off-leash dogs of neighboring campers.
