Truly a great experience! We were on campsite #20 right next the bathroom never once did it smell bad at all! They were so clean! There was even a little man made trail that leads right down to the lake! No more than 3 minutes! Great time being there!

Campsites need bear locker. Bear ravaged my cooler and ate all my food. There were no obvious warnings posted about bears like in other campgrounds.

Such a wonderful and quiet place! Beautiful location, the lake is located in 5 minutes by walk. There you can rent a kayak and have fun!

It was a wonderful site; a very short walk from the car but still relatively secluded from other campers.

Liked the fact that there was a lot of privacy and the restrooms were so close especially if you have to go at night.

Lovely site near Leadville. All of the camping spots are spacious and many have plenty of shade from surrounding pines. It is incredibly quiet with great night sky viewing opportunities. The reservoirs are great for kayaking and we observed some people fishing from the nearby day use area. There was no water at all and the dump site is closed, else this would rate 5 stars.

White Star is an excellent location for many activities! We paddle boarded on both lakes, rode up Independence Pass and hiked both directions on the Colorado Trail. The only thing missing was fresh water, but we have been told that that will change soon.
Valley Site 51 had plenty of shade and space to move around for us and our dog.
The toilets were clean and well-maintained.
