Campground was in good shape, well spaced camp sites, and nice flat area to set up a tent. Noise from highway was noticeable and you could hear the nearby powerplant every now and then. (Site 51)

Once again, there is no drinking water at White Star campground and the dump station is still closed. It's been over 3 years now for this situation and I doubt we will be going back after this year unless drinking water is once again available. We hear the same old story, maybe later this summer, maybe next year. Very frustrating. Only talked with a campground host once and that was to tell him we were leaving a day early since snowy weather was expected that night. We also checked on the Lakeview campground, since we have reservations with the family for later in July. We looked at the vault toilet in the D-Loop, and the conditions were dirty and deplorable. We checked in another loop and the situation was better.
The White Star campground was one of our favorite campgrounds in Colorado but now it's very disappointing.

Fine campground host, Bob. This campground has excellent space in the lower loop-- Sage.
The upper loops are full of awful sites--- difficult sites with steep grades and little in the way of site maintenance. Site maintenance was excellent in the lower loop and the pit toilets were spotless.
I was in site 21.
