Jumbo Campground is a well-maintained and beautiful location, offering electric sites, clean facilities, and friendly hosts who provide excellent service. I love everything about Jumbo Campground--except the bathrooms. We have been going to Jumbo for many years in a row and the bathrooms there continue to be the most foul-smelling of any other bathrooms in any of the other national forests or parks. I don't know how other parks address the odor problem, but Jumbo's are without a doubt the worst.

We love it there, we come every year for nearly 20 yrs, we used this camp ground for ease of use for ppl with mobility issues. You do not have to have a handicapped space to accommodate them. There are many trails for hiking around there for ppl who can hike and still beautiful views for those who choose to walk on the paved street through the campground. Over the years we have a had a few camp host that left much to be desired, and they do not seem to stay long, but mostly host experience up there has been great, nice, helpful, and informative people. I must say if you want to use this campground reserve online way in advance, as they are nearly always full when you just go up there, especially if you need a campsite with electricity. The 10 days/9 nights we spend up there is the highlight of our year! However the reservation PEOPLE you have to call if the site is messing up, are very inept at their jobs, hope that changes, or the site gets better, so they are not needed.

It was sad seeing the lakes so low, but on the bright side, there were fewer mosquitoes. The wildflowers were stunning. The bird and animal watching was delightful. The campground was clean. The campground hosts were helpful.

Nice campground, no issues other than the restrooms, which have terrible odor.
